AMS and the food world
A new section of the warehouse has been allocated to the storage and warehousing of food products. Since we started in the world of logistics 40 years ago, we have been involved in the distribution and delivery of food products, and today we have decided to dedicate a physical space in our warehouse for the storage and handling of this type of merchandise.
By obtaining HACCP certification, Ams can handle all long-life food products that do not require a controlled temperature and are already packaged. We cannot handle loose or fresh food.
All products are uniquely identified, organised according to batches and expiry dates and placed in a designated warehouse area, separate from the rest of the goods.
Thanks to our Integrated Logistics system, all operators are 'guided' in the picking of goods by the computer system, setting well-defined rules, designed ad hoc with the customer according to requirements.
Generally speaking, during picking operations the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) concept is respected, guaranteeing the picking of goods according to lots and expiry dates.
New in 2023: Bio Warehouse

From September, AMS will also have a BIO warehouse section, certified and
recognised.
Did you know that in order to be able to market a product with the recognised BIO mark, every phase of its 'life' must be managed according to the rules that this same mark imposes?
Yes, even the storage and packaging phase must take place in a BIO-certified space.
AMS has decided to have an entire area of its warehouse certified so that it can guarantee the supply chain to its customers, maintain the label and respect a certain standard of processing. All personnel are regularly trained and the facility checked.
